Why Do My Feet Hurt?

OrthoInfo Podcast: Season 1, Episode 4

In this episode, Arianna Gianakos, DO, is joined by Kamran Hamid, MD, MPH, FAAOS, for a conversation about common issues that can cause foot pain — from degenerative conditions like arthritis, to acute injuries like fractures and soft tissue tears, to overuse injuries like stress fractures and tendinitis. The episode will help patients understand the early signs of foot problems, when to see a doctor for their foot pain (including red flag signs that require immediate attention), and how to prepare for their first appointment. It will also reassure patients that many foot problems can heal well without surgery and offer expert advice for keeping feet healthy to avoid issues.

Host: Arianna Gianakos, DO, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation at Yale School of Medicine

Guest: Kamran Hamid, MD, MPH, FAAOS, Associate Professor, Loyola Medicine
